The Rally Villa de Adeje 2019 was officially presented
300 people, alongside the organising committee of the 29th Rallye Villa de Adeje, BP Tenerife – Trofeo CICAR (#RallyeAdeje) were present at the Hotel Iberostar Anthelia, Costa Adeje, for the official presentation of the third event in the European Rally Trophy (Iberian Region) (#ERTIberia) and the Spanish championship on asphalt (#CERA19), in the presence of Adolfo Alonso (host of the event and Adeje councillor for sport) and José Vicente Medina (in the name of the Royal Spanish Automobile Federation).
The evening’s proceedings began with a minute’s silence out of respect for the German victims of recent killings in the borough of Adeje, which had dominated the news of the day.
Continuing the evening, Poli Delgado and Ian Montgomery outlined the rally details, times and routes, noting the huge assistance they have received from the Adeje council in working to finish the new multi-use surface .
Mentioning all of the collaborating partners and sponsors, public and private, there were speeches from representatives from Arico, Guía de Isora, BP, Iberostar, Cabildo, Federacion de Tenerife and the Canarias, mentioning the work done in a voluntary fashion by the Asociación San Juan and CANALUP, who received a plaque in recognition of the work they do on a daily basis.
The act was closed by Adolfo Alonso who underlined the manner in which the rally had united the southern boroughs Chasna-Isora, and the backing from Cristo Pérez and Ofelia Manjón in the Cabildo and the ignorance of the regional government which, hopefully, will change in the future.
Finally, Juanma Santos, Jonathan Morales and Eloy González were the winners of the free registrations which were raffled by BP, EXPOVIDA and the Adeje council among those drivers registered at the event. 45 teams have signed up for the race.
