The evening’s proceedings began with a minute’s silence out of respect for the German victims of recent killings in the borough of Adeje, which had dominated the news of the day.
Continuing the evening, Poli Delgado and Ian Montgomery outlined the rally details, times and routes, noting the huge assistance they have received from the Adeje council in working to finish the new multi-use surface .
Mentioning all of the collaborating partners and sponsors, public and private, there were speeches from representatives from Arico, GuÃa de Isora, BP, Iberostar, Cabildo, Federacion de Tenerife and the Canarias, mentioning the work done in a voluntary fashion by the Asociación San Juan and CANALUP, who received a plaque in recognition of the work they do on a daily basis.
Finally, Juanma Santos, Jonathan Morales and Eloy González were the winners of the free registrations which were raffled by BP, EXPOVIDA and the Adeje council among those drivers registered at the event. 45 teams have signed up for the race.
